Map Key

1. Chan Centre

Where family and friends want to be. Doors open 30 minutes before the start of your ceremony. Ticket holders should be seated at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. Once the ceremony commences, any unclaimed seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. Graduate Student Centre

Where students want to be 1 hour and 30 minutes before the start of your ceremony. Procession will leave the ballroom 20 minutes before the start of the ceremony.

Students, be sure to read through the General Ceremony Instructions for further details.

3. Flagpole Plaza

Where a reception is held for students and guests immediately following the ceremony. Also where the gown return tent and various vendors are located.

4. Rose Garden Parkade & Fraser River Parkade

The closest parkades to Graduate Student Centre and Chan Centre are Rose Garden Parkade and Fraser River Parkade. Pay parking is in effect during congregation. Further information will be available shortly at www.ubcparking.com


Accessibility Information

Building Access

The University of British Columbia and the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts provide accessible entrances and seating for each ceremony for students and guests.

Chan Centre staff are available at the entrance to the Chan Centre, and are also available to assist guests to accessible seating.
